ACCP 9 Antithrombotic Therapy for Atrial Fibrillation

The American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) 9 guidelines[26] do express a preference for dabigatran over vitamin K antagonists.  Notice that they also make a particular point about paroxysmal atrial fibrillation needing anticoagulation (Figure 18), the same as other temporal varieties of atrial fibrillation need this therapy.  Camm J.
