This Figure repeats Figure 4, the patient's pedigree, which suggested that there wasn't a clear dominant family history of hypercholesterolemia.  This led to some uncertainty as to how to diagnose this patient's disease, and this suggested that this might be a case where it would be reasonable to sequence his LDL receptor as a way of better understanding what the diagnosis should be.  This should also lead to better management of his overall family structure in terms of identifying who might be at risk.
