Barnes Ventilation Program Re-admission-COPD
This Figure shows the results in the population with COPD from the Barnes study: in 2012, the year prior to instituting the QI program, there were 182 hospital readmissions, decreasing to one readmission in the year following initiation of the program[7]; for 2013, there were 412 readmissions prior to the program, decreasing to 8 after initiation; and in 2014 there were 710 readmissions prior to the QI program, decreasing to only 5 readmissions after initiation.
