Outline
This Figure provides a brief outline of this topic: the diagnosis and classification of COPD, the clinical management of COPD, the impact of COPD on health resource utilization, and how home ventilation can impact resource utilization and decrease readmission to the hospital by looking at a retrospective study of data from the Quality Initiative [QI] program at Barnes Healthcare Services (Valodsta, GA).[1] Finally this will look to the future and talk about other opportunities in COPD management to help further reduce healthcare costs.
