Overview

This Figure presents a brief overview of this analysis.  The analysis is based on a recent study from Barnes Healthcare Services[1] that was used to guide much of the financial modeling for this project, followed by a brief introduction to AVAPS-AE [average volume assured pressure support-auto EPAP (expiratory positive airway pressure)] mode for noninvasive ventilation (NIV), and then the details of how the BIM was developed and the assumptions that were used.

The analysis models the US perspective for NIV, covering the various stakeholders that were served, the competitors that were included in the model, the various inputs and outputs to the model, and finally a sensitivity analysis that was performed on the model to understand exactly what was driving the observed savings.
