Combined Assessment of COPD
This Figure lists the current GOLD guidelines, obtained from the global strategy for diagnosis, management, and prevention of COPD.[2] The guidelines assign patients to class A, B, C, or D according to the characteristics of their risk of exacerbation and their symptoms, spirometric values, and exacerbation history, as well as their symptom scores (modified Medical Reasearch Council scale for dyspnea [mMRC[3]] and COPD Assessment Test [CAT]).[4]
