Unrecognized Sleep Apnea

FIG. 32:  A number of studies have shown that in men or women diagnosed with resistant hypertension, there is a fairly high prevalence of OSA.  The Figure shows the results of a study from 2001,[18] echoed by subsequent studies, showing that in men with resistant hypertension the prevalence of OSA can be as much as greater or equal to 90%.
