FIG. 25: This Figure shows the same data as in Figure 16,[5] to highlight again the increased levels of sympathetic drive and the higher blood pressures seen during sleep as a consequence of the sympathetic vasoconstriction. In the following Figures we will see evidence that in patients with sleep apnea these heightened nighttime blood pressure levels actually carry over into sustained daytime hypertension.
