FIG. 52: This Figure introduces a study conducted in the Rochester (Minnesota) Mayo Clinic catchment area, looking at patients who had experienced sudden cardiac death.[38] The study was limited to people who had had a previous sleep study, so we knew whether or not they had OSA, and to people where we were fairly certain about the time of death. In other words, we had a good idea of the time of death, and we also knew from a polysomnogram done prior to death whether the patient did or did not have OSA.
