FIG. 34:  Putting together the information discussed in Figures 30-33, in both healthy persons and in patients with volume depletion (left panel), we see a reduction in right ventricular function and therefore a reduction in volume index.  However, most patients with CSR have volume overload (right panel), and if they are treated with PAP it may be possible to improve left ventricular function, as has been shown in several studies with improvement of ejection fraction with ASV.
