Transplant Free Survival: CSR-CSA vs non-CSR-CSA
FIG. 19: Turning to CSA, several studies have shown that CSA in patients with heart failure is associated with increased mortality. This Figure shows one study that looked at patients with heart failure with or without CSR, and with CSA, comparing heart transplant-free survival time from the first sleep study with non-CSR-CSA patients..[9] The group with CRS-CSA had worse transplant-free survival.
A number of studies reproduced these results, but a recent study did not show any difference (next Figure), and as a result the question is remains open.
