Comparison of the Design of the SERVE-HF and ADVENT_HF Trials
FIG. 25: The following Figures will compare the designs of the Treatment of Sleep-Disordered Breathing with Predominant Central Sleep Apnea by Adaptive Servo Ventilation in Patients with Heart Failure (SERVE-HF) trial and the ADVENT-HF Trial. Briefly, the SERVE-HF trial was supported by ResMed, carried out at sites mainly in Germany and France,[13] that used a ResMed ASV device (AutoSet CS).[14] The results were published in The New England Journal of Medicine in September 2015.[15] The ADVENT-HF trial is using a Philips Respironics ASV device (BiPAP autoSV Advanced).[12] The reason for comparing the designs is to emphasize how different these two trials are.[16]
