FIG. 20: There are several studies looking at PAP use in Op-CSA. CPAP has been explored in several small studies of chronic opioid users,[14-19] but the results have been disappointing. Central apneas often persisted on CPAP therapy and in some cases CPAP even worsened the CSA index (CAI).
