FIG. 25:  The responses to CPAP in the non-responders from the study described in the previous Figure[18] were  impressive.  Although the trial reinforced CPAP as an unreliable treatment for Op-CSA, all 20 patients (including the CPAP early, late, and non-responders) responded very well to ASV therapy, and their central-apnea index (CAI) was eliminated.  It should be noted, however, that these patients demonstrated more cluster-type CSA.
