FIG 4: The results of the patient’s polysomnography (PSG) study are shown in this Figure, revealing breathing cessations creating apneas concomitant with breathing efforts in the thorax and abdomen and snoring during periods of ventilation. In sum, this case illustrates a typical pattern of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) with snoring and paradoxical breathing.
