FIG. 11: This Figure shows a study of treatment of intermediate-risk NMI disease by Kamat and colleagues[4] in which they proposed 4 risk factors that should be considered: number of tumors, size of the tumor, timing of the recurrence within or after one year, and frequency of recurrence. These risk factors can help divide these patients into a low-intermediate risk category that can be treated in the same way as low-risk patients, or a much higher intermediate risk category, which can be treated the same as high-risk patients.
