FIG. 6: T1 bladder cancer is a very heterogeneous disease. Some patients can be treated conservatively, effectively and adequately, preserving a good quality of life. On the other hand, some patients will require an early or immediate radical cystectomy. It is reliably differentiating between these two groups of patients that is at the heart of management of this disease.
