: Improving the Quality of TUR
FIG. 9: Once cancer has been diagnosed, the first step is to obtain an adequate specimen, means performing a quality transurethral resection (TUR). This endoscopic management is not trivial. Some tumors have a broad-front invasion, whereas others have a tentacular invasion. The really essential points are to resect all of the tumor, obtain adequate staging, and thus to prevent local recurrence at the primary site.
