Surgical Quality is Important

FIG. 25:  This Figure raises another point about the importance of surgical quality.  Physicians should not rely on neoadjuvant chemotherapy to mitigate the results of bad surgery.  The graph displays the results of a secondary analysis from SWOG 8710,[12] showing that if treatment removes ≥10 lymph nodes, the outcome is better than if it removes <10 nodes, whether patients have N0 or N+ disease.
