FIG. 27: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy depends on collaboration, and there are data to support this. This Figure presents data from patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer who were referred for consultation about neoadjuvant chemotherapy in Edmonton or Calgary in Canada.[14] Patients were referred more often in Edmonton than in Calgary, but in both regions, when patients were referred for consultation about neoadjuvant chemotherapy they were likely to be offered and to receive it. In other words, the likelihood of receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy is clearly related to being referred for consultation about it in the first place.
