FIG. 19:  Looking first at low-risk cancers, which represent around 20% of all bladder cancers, they also have high rates of local recurrence (50−60%).  Data from Sweden in Figure 19 come from a study of long-term recurrence rates in low-grade papillary urothelial carcinoma and papillary urothelial neoplasm of low malignant potential (PUNLMPs), and again we see that the recurrence rates approach 50% at 5 years.[21]
