Multidisciplinary Bladder Cancer Clinics Increase Use of Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy

FIG. 28:  This Figure shows data from a study done by the University of Toronto that measured use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for muscle-invasive bladder cancer between 2000 and 2013.[15]  The study revealed that after a multidisciplinary bladder cancer clinic was initiated in 2008, with medical oncologists and urologic surgeons available as part of a multidisciplinary team to discuss treatment options with patients, use of neoadjuvant chemotherapy rose dramatically.
