Does delay matter?
FIG. 11: Delay matters. Patients who experience a delay of ≥3–6 months for treatment will experience considerably worse outcomes from radical treatment.[13] This means that there is an onus on physicians to try to speed up diagnosis and treatment of patients, and I suggest that part of this will come from reducing the burden of overflow of follow-up.
