FIG. 19: Patients with rare urothelial variants also have a worse outcome following cystectomy. In this series from 17 tertiary referral centers in Italy (Figure),[13] the cancer-specific survival rate of uncommon urothelial variants was worse than in patients with conventional urothelial cancer.
